Weddings are fast-paced events, especially for florists. Florists are always thinking how to design and organize on site, which includes floral arches, ceiling installations, staircases, centerpieces, and other smaller details that are a crucial part of the design. 

Florists also have to account for symmetry, balance, color coordination etc. As professional floral designers, we decorate with hundreds of centerpieces and candles, and a critical-eye is very important. Not only does design and setup require time, but it also requires many hands to complete the work on time. Is it stressful? Extremely. It's similar to a frustrating car ride to work packed with many detours. 

Florists are well prepared for any hiccups on the wedding day, but here are a few issues that can happen to the setup which is covered by the cost. 

1. Wedding Day "Time & Schedule"

Flowers are very delicate. They are delivered using extremely careful systems which guarantee the flowers will arrive in perfect condition. This requires specialty vehicles with plenty of space and systems in place that will save all these beauties. 

2. The Weather

Weather can be very unpredictable, and nothing pushes a wedding back like rain. As florists, we know how delicate flowers can be when exposed to rain. In extreme circumstances, ceremony or reception decor has to be moved inside because of the weather. Moving decor quickly and carefully requires all hands on deck. 

3. Care for Flowers and Decor During Setup 

A florist is an intense job since accountability and organization of hundreds of flowers is involved. There's no magic to it. Flowers are very delicate which is why there are dozens of members in a floral team. The team decorates and setup on site. They are prepared for a plan B, C, or even D. Florists must have extra vases, candles, lighters, and flowers if any problems occur.
