In August, Flowers by Impressions was contacted by a bride-to-be who had a clear vision for her wedding flowers. She reached out ten months before her wedding, seeking a wedding florist capable of delivering a vibrant, colorful floral experience for her special day at the stunning Lake Lanier "Venetian Pier."

The bride requested a large floral arch adorned with fuscia pink, hot pink, and purple flowers, along with cohesive floral decorations throughout the venue, including centerpieces with floating candles and compote arrangements. The wedding was to be a visually stunning, colorful August celebration.

Florist’s Solution:

  • Initial Plan: The wedding ceremony was initially planned to take place at Peachtree Falls at Lake Lanier. The design included a grand floral arch and multiple vibrant floral arrangements to create a cohesive look.

  • Floral Arch: A large floral arch incorporating mixed roses (four types), lisianthus, hydrangeas, stock, dianthus, and three types of eucalyptus was created. The arch was designed to be a focal point, combining the requested colors to create a stunning visual impact.
  • Centerpieces: Elegant centerpieces featuring floating candles and compote arrangements were designed to complement the overall aesthetic and enhance the reception decor.
  • Bridal Bouquet and Boutonnieres: These were crafted to match the vibrant color scheme, ensuring every floral element was consistent and beautiful.

Challenges and Adaptations:

  • Preparation Time: The team arrived 5.5 hours before the ceremony to ensure every detail was perfect.
  • Final Setup: Despite the rain, the relocation to the Venetian Pier resulted in an even more beautiful setup than initially planned. The large floral arch became a highlight, standing out against the picturesque lake backdrop.
  • Memorable Arrangements: The floral arch, which took five people to complete, and the centerpieces with floating candles were particularly memorable. The team's effort and creativity shone through, transforming potential setbacks into stunning successes.
