Reasons Why Your Wedding Flowers Are So Expensive

Here are the facts:

1. Flowers

Depending on the type of flowers you choose for your wedding, the price can vary. Premium flowers, such as hydrangeas, peonies, orchids, etc. will require a pretty payment. Why? Premium flowers are brought from a different country and are extremely difficult to cultivate and harvest. Such flowers are sourced from Ecuador, Holland, Italy, and South America, and transport to the States is pricey.

2. Design

When designing something luxurious, especially with fresh flowers, it is no easy task. You risk wilting, browning, or perishing of flowers even with the best care. Most are oblivious to the behind the scenes work of florists. You must either be really crazy or really in love with flowers to be a wedding florist. So, why are we florists? Despite the difficulty of flower design, we absolutely love it!

3. Service

Regardless of wedding size, so many hands are needed to get the job done. By the time we reach our wedding venue, we would have touched (processed, designed, etc.) every flower at least three times. Now, what if you had to create arrangements with thousands of flowers and greenery? It would take you several hours and hands to create florals for even the smallest of weddings. Because of the time and work, service can be costly, but it is worth every penny!
