The Three Best Things About Being a Wedding and Events Florist

Get to know the Lead Designer. "What are the three best things about being a wedding and special events florist?"

"I never even thought about this question until someone asked me “what do you do all day or the week of the wedding or special event,” and this question really made me think. The number one best thing is that no two weddings or special events are ever the same. Over the years, I’ve grown to love how much each and every wedding and event is different with its own unique style. Yes, some days can be challenging and unpredictable, but they’re as far from boring as you can possibly get.

The second best thing is that I get to work with pretty things! Flowers are just so pretty, and I can't resist the buckets of peonies in summer or the swaddles of dahlias in the fall. It is, hands down, the prettiest career ever. On top of the pretty flowers, I also get to be creative and arrange flowers in vases or make custom bridal bouquets and wedding arrangements.

Last, I design and create for all sorts of special occasions. Designing for life's most precious moments is probably the most rewarding part of my job as a florist. From weddings to birthday parties and anniversaries, I get to be involved in so many special events which is always a privilege to be part, even in the smallest of floral ways."
