A realistic amount for wedding flowers would be 15-20% of your overall wedding budget. If we take the average cost of weddings in the United States, $30,000, and multiply it by 15%, the amount for wedding flowers would be $4,500. Depending on the types of flowers, the number of flowers, and the season, $4,500 should provide you with bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, ceremony and reception flowers, flower girl petals, cake flowers, and more.
Let's say you're not a big fan of flowers. The money you would have spent on your wedding flowers would go to decor which would be 10% of your overall wedding budget. Your wedding decor cost would be $3,000. An alternative to flowers would be candles, feather centerpieces, succulent arrangements, and branch centerpieces.
Maybe you love flowers and want to have as many as you can on your wedding day. Your flowers would be 25-35% of your wedding budget. Multiply $30,000 by 25% and your wedding flowers would cost $7,500.
