The Truth About Artificial Flowers

"I want to save money, so I'm buying silk flowers."

When Should I Use Artificial Flowers?

Silk flowers can only be used for ceiling installations and arches which are away from the guest's touch or nose. Why? Because silk flowers are artificial, the flowers tend to smell like oil or paint. Would you want your guests to smell paint at your wedding? For bouquets, sweetheart table arrangements, table centerpieces and other floral arrangements fresh flowers are best.

Are Silk Flowers Less Expensive Than Fresh Florals?

Don't be fooled. Quality silk flowers are more expensive than fresh flowers because of the labor it takes to make them look realistic. If your wedding or event is indoors, we highly recommend fresh flowers because they will clean the air and make your event feel inviting. Silk flowers can never substitute the fresh flower advantages. As an alternative to save money, you might want to find a florist that can design and style your wedding or event using fewer fresh flower substitutes and silk floral rentals. A great florist will try to work within your budget and design unique and beautiful arrangements.
